Invest in Oil and Gas? The major problem with Fundamental Analysis is the information that investors rely upon is not current and reflects what has happened, and the guidance given by directors can never be taken as gospel. While directors might have insight into their indus
try and short-term prospects of the company based on orders and possible future orders, none of them really know the future. All this means, the average investor has to make guesses as to whether the directors are really telling the truth and the directors reports and guidance are based on accurate information. What this means is Fundamental Analysis can be a very hit and miss affair.
